A correction is officially submitted only when the editor-in-chief is contacted directly. Corrections sent to other staff members may not be addressed timely or at all.

 

Corrections should include:

– The issue date or number

– Where the error was seen (print, online, etc.)

– The reader’s name and contact information

– Correct information and a source for verification if applicable (e.g., meeting minutes for an incorrect vote tally)

 

The reader can expect a response from the editor-in-chief and may be contacted for further clarification.

The article will be corrected, and an editor’s note will be added at the bottom, indicating the error and correction date.

 

Social Media:

If the article was posted on social media, a post will link to the corrected article, noting the correction.

 

After correcting the error, the editor-in-chief will inform the reader who reported it about the steps taken to correct it.
